In my life, I have been an executive, an entrepreneur, an executive, a wife, a mom, etc but nothing ever prepared me for being a cancer patient. As part of my entrepreneurial experiences, I have written books about how to be career ready, how to be entrepreneurial in your job search and all that jazz - seriously, you can check them out here.
I used to write about managing blank spaces on your resume post illness or child care leave - HA, I had no clue. Then, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. And then, I got laid off the day after my last chemotherapy and I realized that I do not have a clue on how to be "work ready" after going through something as traumatic as a potential life threatening illness and that if I do not know how to do it, other people probably don't either.
